2021.09.24 01:41 OraDoraMuda So who's better? Waqar Younis or Wasim Akram

Waqar and Wasim. Two legendary bowlers that wrecked havok in the early to mid 90's and helped Pakistan clutch up many series. Pakistan in NZ 1992, where they took a combined 17 wickets in the match and defended a paltry score of 126. Pakistan defending their home against a very good Australia side 1994, combined they took 15 wickets in the tight match. And who can forget Pakistan in England 1992,where they took a combined 43 wickets @ 23.95 in the series. But who was better?

Country Innings Wickets Average WPI
Australia 12 14 40.50 1.17
England 16 45 27.48 2.81
India 4 2 76.50 0.50
New Zealand 15 34 27.17 2.27
Pakistan/UAE 52 127 21.62 2.44
South Africa 8 20 28.30 2.50
Sri Lanka 11 27 21.62 2.45
West Indies 10 24 24.83 2.40
Overall 128 293 25.16 2.29
Waqar Younis has amazing numbers for someone who was consistently injured for most of his career. Outside of Australia, as he didn't play much in India, he was great all-round. What went against Waqar as well was that he was a right handed bowler. He swung the ball away with the regular swing, and with that he relied on his slip fielders more than a left handed seamer like Wasim. These are the average catches per match for their time:
Country Innings Catches CPM
South Africa 99 1027 10.37
Australia 197 2021 10.26
West Indies 171 1742 10.19
New Zealand 147 1313 8.93
England 209 1829 8.75
India 146 1239 8.49
Sri Lanka 121 992 8.20
Pakistan 152 1164 7.66
Now I thought originally Pakistan were a middle to the pack team in terms of fielding in the late 80's to 90's... Drop catches aren't a statistic, but if they were I'm sure Pakistan would be up there...
Country Innings Wickets Average WPI
Australia 15 36 24.05 2.40
England 23 53 28.73 2.30
India 14 27 27.70 1.93
New Zealand 13 50 17.18 3.85
Pakistan/UAE 57 124 22.79 2.18
South Africa 4 7 39.00 1.75
Sri Lanka 15 30 20.43 2.00
West Indies 17 35 26.88 2.06
Overall 158 362 23.89 2.29
Wasim Akram holds a very slight edge in terms of average. Not surprisingly, Waqar and Wasim have the same WPI. Although Waqars Strike Rate is far superior to Akrams, 46.1 and 54.7 respectively. Wasim destroyed New Zealand, and the only places you can say he struggled in was South Africa and maybe India. I also wanted to look at the Zimbabwe stats, since in 1999 Zimbabwe beat Pakistan in Pakistan 1-0.
Country Innings Wickets Average WPI
Waqar v. Zim 20 62 19.88 3.10
Wasim v. Zim 18 47 21.21 2.61
I didn't add these stat's to keep some sort of consistency through out my post's. From 1997-2002 Zimbabwe were legit contenders. They beat everyone in a match except Australia. They beat India and Pakistan at home, NZ both home and away as well. Waqar did play Zimbabwe in 2002/3, where they started their huge decline. In the end of the day, even with all these stat's, it's really hard to tell who was truly better...

2021.09.24 01:41 idunnosothis When someone says HF's and MM control the stock price, don't believe them. It's straight up FUD.

If hedgies had full control of the price then they wouldn't have let it out of the single digits. We are absolutely destroying them. Sure, in some moments in time they have control, but they don't have full control as some people suggest. Don't listen to the FUD.
We are winning.

2021.09.24 01:41 WolverineOtherwise Hidden acronym in last GameStop tweet - POA: "Power of Attorney"

There are three letters that are highlighted in the last GameStop tweet : P, O, A
GS High Score tweet
By inferring P is the first letter, because it is of a different color, we can hypothesize that the letters can be an acronym for POA, Power Of Attorney.
Prophet Investopedia wrinkles our pickled peaches of a brain with this definition:
"A power of attorney (POA) is a legal document giving one person, the agent or attorney-in-fact, the power to act for another person, the principal.
The agent can have broad legal authority or limited authority to make decisions about the principal's property, finances, or medical care.
The power of attorney is often used when a principal becomes ill or disabled, or when they can't be present to sign necessary legal documents for financial transactions."
In that case, it would be that GamsStop is saying that they are unable (or disabled) by that provision that says that they cannot encourage anyone to use ComputerShare as a preferred means of acquiring shares.
But by saying "Congratulations" as if "you found da way" .
And as others surmised, "new highscore input initials" is probably saying that a significant number of shares were registered in shareholder's name and taken out of DTC.
GS is giving us Power Of Attorney to finish the game.
Can't stop. Won't stop.

2021.09.24 01:41 General_ly_Sure What is Tier VIII+ Gameplay like? Is it worth my time to grind a vehicle?

Bit of background, I'm a F2P that started playing this game back in the days of the Beta and stopped playing around 2015 (After that, I would maybe play 5~10 matches a year just to see what changed but I never got seriously back into it). Recently, I got a free coupon for a RAM II, so my interest has somewhat been re-sparked.
All that being said, I never got a rank VIII. The furthest I ever got in the tech tree was the Tier VII Tiger P and from what I've taken away from this sub, it's not exactly the best tank (but hey, given the nightmare that was the Pz 38t n.A, I felt very accomplished when I finally got my Tiger).
So, is Tier VIII+ gameplay worth the grind? Are modes that require a Tier 8 vehicles, like Frontlines, any good?
Also, I'll put this here if any of ya'll want to look up my player stats (spoiler, they're garbage)
